Amitabh Bachchan, who is the Brand Ambassador for the IIFA Celebrations, was not able to attend the IIFA celebrations this year, due to some prior commitments and a protest against the authorities in Sri Lanka by the Tamils, who were against the IIFA to take place in Sri Lanka, and who requested Big B to boycott the Awards.
However, the voices of the Tamils were heard y Big B, and so he skipped the entire awards. But, to make up for his absence, the lead actor has been roped in as the Brand Ambassador along with Salman Khan, and Vivek Oberoi, for encouraging the game of soccer or football in the Island Nation, amongst the child soldiers, who have been rescued from the ltte forces, and have nowhere to go for help
Thus, in order to help those children to develop a love for the game, thereby making a Sri Lankan National team, thereby, giving work opputunities to these Sri Lankan refugees and also promoting the game in the island nation.
To make the game more attractive, the bollywood biggies like Big B, Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi are chosen as the endorsers for the game.
Now, knowing Salman’s hatred for Vivek Oberoi, we wonder if Big B will have to first play peacemaker for both the hunks, before any concrete work is done for the IIFA Football team!
