Recent reports claimed that after Raajneeti, Bollywood’s lucky mascot Katrina Kaif is all set to play a female army recruit in her debut production. But contrary to popular belief there is no such confirmation yet.
A source reveals, “There is no truth in the news that Katrina will be playing an army recruit or that the film will be on the lines of Private Benjamin. It is too early to talk about it as nothing has been finalized as of now.”
Reports also claimed that the film in question based on life in the army, will be Katrina’s focus over her remake of the French movie whose rights Katrina has purchased. And the news hasn’t gone down well with the Bollywood Diva.
The source adds, “When the time comes, an announcement will be made on the particulars of her debut production project. As of now, Katrina is just in talks and toying with ideas. It’s pointless to speculate over mere rumours.”
Confirming the news, Katrina’s spokesperson says, “Katrina is just going through the details and is in talks regarding her debut production but nothing has been finalized as of now.”
Katrina has problem with Zoya Akhtar's film
Zoya Akhtar’s film Running With The Bulls is again going for a name change, apparently on the insistence of Katrina Kaif. It has also been reported earlier that Katrina is doing quite a few stunts in the film including dirt biking and deep sea diving. The film also stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin. Farhan is also helping sister Zoya with the dialogues of the film. After dropping the name Running With The Bulls, as the prediction of an English name of the film would not be digested well by the Indian audiences was preconceived, it was decided that the film would be titled as Zindagi Na Mile Dubara.
Going by the reports, even the new Hindi title hasn't been received well. Our sources found out that Katrina had a problem with this title and explained that it sounded very outdated and clichéd against the image of the film which is fresh, new, and youthful. The film’s shoot is scheduled to begin in Spain next moth. The producers are desperately racking their brains to find another title suitable for this movie and it seems they will have to do it soon.Apart from this one problem, they are also hunting for an actress to be paired against Hrithik Roshan. Contrary to speculations, Katrina will be starring opposite Farhan Akhtar. There is much to look out for as Hrithik, Farhan, and Abhay will also be seen speaking Spanish in this film. It is also speculated that after his experience in Kites with the sultry actress, Hrithik has suggested Barbara Mori for the role opposite him in this film. As for the time being, the hunt for a leading lady opposite Hrithik is still in process. We wonder who this face is going to be!
