Aziz Ansari is getting his dues at last. This really funny comedian who has acted in critically acclaimed films like, ‘Funny People’, ‘I Love You, Man’, and the upcoming, ‘Get Him to the Greeks’, is selected to host the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, which no doubt is a prestigious event in itself! His show on NBC that has reached cult status called ‘Human Giant’ .Ansari currently portrays Tom Haverford on NBC’s comedy ‘Parks and Recreation’.
Nominees for the upcoming MTV Movie Awards have yet to be announced. MTV’s spokesperson declined to comment on the possible host, while Ansari’s representative could not be reached. Last year, “Twilight” showed its domination on the award show, sweeping five kudos including the title of Best Movie. This year as well any movie that wishes to get the Best Picture award has to fight teeth and nail with Twilight again, by the look of it, Twilight is getting ready for another sweep this year too.
And Ansari must be getting ready for hosting the award show in Los Angeles, California as celebrity presenters, performers and the biggest names in the industry will walk the red carpet. Winners will be presented with the coveted Golden Popcorn Award.
Aziz’ll is sure to keep you laughing and with all his MTV ties, it has been said, that he’ll definitely be a worthy Movie Awards host, no doubt.
