Katrina Kaif has sought to put an end to media speculation over her relationship status, categorically stating that she is single.
However, we are not sure the media is going to buy her denial. She is too beautiful and successful to be ignored. Besides, writing about histrionic ability, even if there was much to write about, is pointless since no one is going to read it.
In an interview with TOI, the 25-year-old actress referred to rumors about her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor.
"I can only say that Ranbir had said in many interviews that he is single and not dating anyone. And I say I am single and am not dating anyone. We have worked together in two films and I do believe that he is a nice person. He has a wonderful quality which is to make everyone laugh and bring a lot of happiness and joy on the sets. He is very talented and beyond that there is nothing more to dig into. And there is nothing less than that also."
Here is the problem with Katrina's denials though. She believes in the adage that you are single till you are married!
"You are single till you are married," she says. "I have seen a lot of relationships that are very transient. So till you take that vow, which in my belief should not be broken, you are single. I refuse to clarify anything, this is the way I have always been."
What that means is she could be in love and ready to marry someone yet truthfully say she is single or not dating. After all, you can be in love and not dating because of a busy lifestyle. How many of us date our spouses, for example?
Katrina denies the ambivalence could be unfair to the person you love.
"That could have happened two or three years ago when the person I was with was far more successful than me," she said.
We think she said a lot in that one sentence, most important of which was that she is not with Salman Khan anymore.
