After the success of 3 Idiots, the hit jodi of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor is all set to make a comeback with Mani Ratnam's ambitious project Lajjo.
The film based on Partition was shelved previously because of its mammoth budget.
But it seems Mani is now keen to go ahead with the project after Aamir-Kareena jodi was liked by the audiences in 3 Idiots.
Kareena is a happy woman after this announcement. She tells Mumbai Mirror, “I will be too happy. Giggly, girlie, Barbie doll roles don’t bring out the actor in me. I want to be challenged. I can’t play the singing, dancing mannequin any more. I’ve realised that as an actor, playing varied roles is what I enjoy the most. I’m starving for good roles. My characters in Ra.One and Saif’s home production Agent Vinod are powerful roles,” she said.
We do hope the film does what her other critically acclaimed films Dev, Chamerli, Asoka and Kurbaan couldn't do.
